Ring Mandrel

This solid steel Ring Mandrel is perfect for crafting glass rings, featuring a smooth surface without grooves or markings. Its 9" working length accommodates ring sizes 1 to 15, ideal for shaping and sizing. Use it cold and bare, without mandrel release. Position the mandrel either hanging off your work table or on a stand beside the flame, narrow end facing you. Heat and pull glass to the desired thickness and size, then wrap and join the ends around the mandrel while flexible. After joining, reheat gently to refine shape and roundness. Two joining techniques allow for different ring styles, including spiral bands and elegant bulges, though both require practice to master.
