Long, 6¼" .....
$16.95
Part# TWGREEDY-L
Terrill, Handled, 12" ..... $18.95 Part# TWGREEDY-T

Greedy Grabbers are similar to our larger Uncle Al Rod Grabbers in their holding action. Instead of large hemostats, Greedy Grabbers are made with locking tweezers. With a delicate, yet firm hold, the short 4¼" grabbers have an incredible range, from 1mm stringers to 7mm rods. The longer 6¼" size has the same size holding range, but with a little more holding power and a longer handle. The Terrill Greedy Grabbers is the short Greedy Grabbers with a 5/32" (4mm) stainless steel rod attached to the back end of grabber, as a handle, for an overall length of 12" (30.5cm).

Twisty Tweezers
$9.95 Part# TWTWISTY

If you use tweezers to pull stringers and make twisties, Twisty Tweezers is a must have tool. We took 6½" locking tweezers and reshaped the tip by modifying the grind and the angle of the points. The resulting tool reaches into the end of the molten glass with a minimal amount of distortion and a minimal amount of glass wasted with the grip. All this without the points sticking. The spring loaded tweezers with their intercepting points hold firm and allow you to rotate them for making twisties without releasing the glass. You can even leave the glass in the grip of the tweezers as an application tool.

Italian Style Tweezers
5" ..... $13.95
  Part# TW-ITALIAN5
6" ..... $13.95  Part# TW-ITALIAN6
7" ..... $15.95  Part# TW-ITALIAN7
8" ..... $15.95  Part# TW-ITALIAN8

These fine lampworking tweezers are just like the ones you find in Italy at up to twice the price. With beautiful fit and finish, these tweezers are a true pleasure to work with. The 6" and 8" sizes are the most popular. However, the newest 7" size may be just what you are looking for. It is made by cutting down the 8" ones in order to make the tip a little wider. The 5" size comes from the 6" ones for the same reason. Italian Style Tweezers aren't just for pinching off bits of glass. They also make for great detail mashers, leaving their profile behind in the glass.

Uncle Al Rod Grabber
$30.00
Part# HEMAL

The Uncle Al Rod Grabber is very similar to the Italian Style Rod Holder, in the way that it grips glass rods. However, the overall tool design is very different. It is actually a modified hemostat, approximately 9" long. It can hold glass rods with diameters from as small as about 2 mm up to about 8 mm. The Uncle Al Rod Grabber does have an advantage over the Italian Style Rod Holder, it can grab a 4 mm to 8 mm glass rod that is laying flat on the work table, without first picking it up by hand. The best grip is attained by inserting the glass rod about ½" into the holding area, but rods can be inserted to as much as 1½".

Rod and Tool  Rest
Small Hole Size ..... $7.50
Part# RODRESTSM
Large Hole Size ..... $7.50 Part# RODRESTLG
One each, Small and Large Hole Size ..... $12.95 Part# RODRESTSL

We've redesigned our Rod Rest. In fact, we've turned it into two versions and also renamed it. We now call it the Rod and Tool Rest, because it does so much more than hold just glass rods.

The first is to make it a little shorter to better accommodate short rods. With the old taller version, short glass rods would slide off easier. The second was to also offer a version with closer holes. So now we have two versions. The large hole model has a ½" wide cradles: 7½ long, 7/8" high at the bottom of the cradle and 11 cradles across. The small hole model has a ¼" wide cradles: 7½ long, ¾" high at the bottom of the cradle and 20 cradles across. The large hole model is ideal when you want everything spaced and not touching the glass rod or tool next to it. The small hole model allows you to have a home for lots of glass rods or narrow tools.

Sold separately or a get both and save. Place the small hole model on one side of the flame for the hand that holds glass rods and tools such as rakes. Place the large hole model on the other side for holding narrow tools you want to keep clean such as punties. A definite frustration eliminator. Holds 10 rods and/or tools. 7½" long.

Frit and Annealer Tray Sampler - One Each ..... $22.95/5 Part# FRIT-TRAY-5SAMP

Frit and Annealer Trays to fit your specific needs. As frit trays, the low profile gives mandrel clearance on small diameter beads while still keeping the frit from spilling. For annealing, the four sided stainless steel trays hold marbles and such from rolling around and keeps multiple lampworker's loose items separate. A typical annealer can hold several trays across.

The Lena Frit Tray has a no spill funnel at one end and has an area where there is no side on the tray to let the mandrel touch a single layer of small frit from the bottom of the tray. The Handled trays come as a tray with four sides and also as a scoop with the front side open.

1½"x 4", 3 Pack ..... $29.95  Part# FRIT-15X4-3

Frit and Powder Troughs greatly improve the efficiency in coating hot glass, such as beads, by keeping frit and powder in better contact with the item being coated. Many years ago Arrow Springs developed this Frit and Powder Trough, but in a much larger size. Now we are reintroducing it in a new smaller bead scale size. Width across the trough is 1½", length is 4". The bottom of the trough rises over ¾" above the table to give your fingers plenty of working clearance. Stainless steel.

Frit and Powder Trough
1½"-2" Small Combo ..... $15.00  Part# FRIT-SMCOMBO
4" Large ..... $20.00
  Part# FRITTROUGH2

Used to apply frit and powdered glass to hard and soft glasses, as well as Pixie Dust to soft glass. The trough is shaped like half of a pipe that has been cut lengthwise and will sit on the work table without rocking. The frit or powder is placed in the center area. As the hot glass work piece is set onto the frit or powder and rotated, the curved sides of the trough help to keep the frit or powder surrounding the work piece. The frit or powder falls back on to the work piece and tends to not spread down the length of the trough. Your work piece gets coated considerably faster and with less applications than when using a flat marvering plate. Large trough measures 12" long by about 4" wide. The small Combo trough measures 6" long and is reversible. On one side the width is 1½". Turn it over and the other side is 2" wide. The Small Combo trough comes with two disks, one for each side, that are used to push the material to the center.

Baz Box Leaf and Foil Vacuum Table
Baz Box 5" X 5" ..... $95.00
Part # LEAF-VAC

No more chasing leaf and foil around the table. The Baz Box, conceived by Amnon Elbaz, is a very effective tool that securely holds any leaf or foil by a gentle vacuum through very tiny holes in a thick gage stainless steel top plate. Includes a stainless steel cover that protects your leaf and foil when the Baz Box is not in use. There is also a metal strip that you can partial cover the leaf or foil. When you roll your hot glass over the exposed portion of the leaf or foil to adhere it to the glass, the area covered by the metal strip is cleanly cut away and remains behind. Pick up the leaf or foil in one smooth motion by rolling the glass over it or pressing the glass against it. Do not leave hot glass in one spot unnecessarily, as this can cause warping of the metal. Approximately 5" X 5", 3 speed fan, 9 Volt battery, included. Generally, the lowest fan setting is all that is needed when the battery is new. As the battery loses power, increase fan speed setting.

Mandrel Pin Vise
$25.95
Part# VISEMAN

The miniature three jawed chuck, similar to that on a drill, goes from closed up to 1/8" (3.35mm) in diameter to hold mandrels, tungsten rods and wires. Extremely useful when you find that holding thin mandrels is difficult, tungsten gets too hot to touch and wires are floppy and too hot to hold close to the glass. Simply remove the mandrel, tungsten or wire from the handle and insert a new one. The handle is completely hollow all the way through, so there is no limit to the length of the item you are holding. Handle is about 1/2" (12.7mm) diameter. 6½" (15cm) overall length. Not for use inside annealer. Keep pin vise at least 1" (25.4mm) from high heat.

Hemostats
3½" ..... $3.50
Part# HEM35
5½" ..... $5.50 Part# HEM55
8" ..... $7.50 Part# HEM8
10" ..... $8.50 Part# HEM10

Use the longer hemostats for making buttons and small pendants. Many buttons are made with a copper wire loop on the back. Bend a short length of wire into a U-like a short bobby pin. Then bend out the ends. Clamp a hemostat onto the curve of the U to become a handle and then either add glass to the wire to create a button or first make a button on a punty, heat its back and press the wire into it. You will probably find it easier to hold the hemostat shaft while making glass items; it's easier to rotate. 8" hemostats have about 7" of shaft. Use the 3½" hemostats to clamp on the ends of your beading string. They allow you to review your work without worry of the beads sliding off. Also, if you need to remove the first bead strung, it's faster to remove the hemostat then it is to cut off the clasp end or unstring everything.

Murrini Hemostats
$25.00
Part# HEMMUR

Used to pick up hot or cold glass rods or murrini sections and add them to others. Many complex murrinis are "bundled" from several different murrinis. The best way to bundle murrinis is to first preheat the individual parts in an annealer. This prevents them from popping apart in the flame. Using the bent end Murrini Hemostats, reach into a hot oven and grab a murrini, heat it in the flame, then nest it to others. The Murrini Hemostats are bent at 90°, approximately 1" from the end, and the very tips have rounded grooves to securely hold the murrini components. The grooves are so close to the end that they usually no not touch the glass that you are applying the murrini to.

10mm diameter, 8" (20cm) long and tapered at one end down to ¼" (6mm). Borosilicate glass rods make great punty handles. Use to punty up marbles, buttons, sculptural work or for pulling down murrini. Borosilicate is a lot more resistant to thermal shock than soft glass (Effetre/Moretti) which means that your work is less likely to crack off.
