Onsite Lampworking Rental

Arrow Springs is now offering rental time in our classroom/studio. Standard rental includes the use of the area, a torch and annealer. Standard rental is $12.00 per hour. Premium rental also includes hand tools, except mandrels smaller than 5/32". Premium rental is $15.00 per hour. The charge is prorated, with a one hour minimum. No instruction is provided.

What we supply
A single flame torch from the classroom.
Standard and Premium rental gives you a choice from one of the classroom/studio torches. Choose from an available Minor Burner, Mega Minor, Mini CC, Little Dragon 7, Bobcat or Lynx. Any torch larger than these will have a slight up charge to cover the extra fuel gas and oxygen consumption. If you want to bring your own torch, we can easily connect it to our classroom manifold. Your torch will need to have attached hoses and Quick-Connects.

Use of a classroom/studio annealer.
Standard and Premium rental includes the use of one of the classroom/studio annealers which can be set for soft or hard glass temperatures. We can usually accommodate special programming. We also have kilns for fusing. Please inquire about their rental costs. Our largest kiln has a 27" X 27" floor with a height clearance of 12".

Tools
Premium rental also gives you the use of all hand tools and eyewear that we already have in the classroom, except mandrels smaller than 5/32". If it is not already in the classroom, it is not available. You are responsible for damage to all tools and equipment you use. For example, if you melt off the end of tweezers, you will need to pay for them. Normal wear and tear is covered.

What you must supply yourself
Not supplied are mandrels smaller than 5/32", glass and all consumable supplies, such as frit, leaf and mandrel release. You are welcome to bring anything with you or you can purchase what you need while you are here.
